The Warrior Series

The jewelry Warrior Series is a direct inspiration from my fine art NOLA Warrior mixed media series that acknowledges the city’s brave and spirited people in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. Both the jewelry and artwork are meant to reflect the nobility one would associate with a spiritual warrior, distinguished from the traditional warrior associated exclusively with a battle, cause or conflict. While the spiritual warrior might also be engaged in a cause, the emphasis is on concerns that address the body, mind and soul.

Casual yet elegant, these designs work with everything from jeans and a white t-shirt to a favorite black cocktail dress. The designs are meant to exemplify the beauty of the ideal contemporary woman, noted for her strength, passion, balance and clarity.

The necklace chains in this series are primarily aluminum, a material that resembles sterling for a fraction of the cost and weight, and remains tarnish-free for life. Necklaces are embellished via a melding of contemporary and vintage elements incorporating everything from mixed metals and crystal, to Lucite and stone.

Original designs are available paired with select vintage necklaces, typically rhinestone classics. This flexible design offers three distinctive looks as each necklace can be worn separately or combined. The "base" or "stock" designs function at multiple lengths including full, medium and choker and can be ordered directly online. Other one-of-a-kind pieces can be purchased online, provided they are still available.
